Privacy Policy — TaraWhen
Last updated: 23 July 2026
TaraWhen is a free group-scheduling tool. You create an event, share a link, and people tap the times they're free. This page explains what we collect and why. We've kept it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Event details you enter: event name, date range, and time window.
- A nickname you type when submitting availability. This does not need to be your real name — use whatever your group will recognize.
- The time slots you mark as free.
- Basic technical data your browser sends automatically (e.g. IP address, for security and abuse prevention), and standard hosting logs.
- Anonymous usage counts via Vercel Web Analytics — which pages get visited, roughly where from, and on what kind of device. No cookies, and nothing that identifies you personally. Event links are stripped of their unique code before being recorded, so your event never appears in our analytics.
We store a small marker in your browser's local storage so that if you reopen an event link, you can edit your previous answer instead of submitting a duplicate. This stays on your device.
What we do NOT collect
- No accounts, no passwords, no login.
- No email addresses, phone numbers, or contact details.
- No access to your calendar or any other app.
- No sensitive personal information (health, religion, finances, government IDs, etc.).
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Why we collect it
Only to make the app work: to show your group's overlapping availability and suggest the best common time. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your data
Anyone with the event link can see the event's aggregated availability and the nicknames of people who responded. That's the whole point of the tool — treat the link like you'd treat a group chat invite, and only share it with your group.
How long we keep it
Events and their responses are kept while the tool is running. There is currently no automatic expiry. If you'd like an event and its data removed sooner, contact us at the email below.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of it. To make a request, contact us at romeroryannym@gmai.com.
Contact
TaraWhen is operated by Ryanny Romero in the Philippines. For any privacy questions or requests, email romeroryannym@gmai.com.
This is a plain-language policy for a small, non-commercial tool. It is not legal advice.
